Meat worker killed on the job in WA

A 31-year-old woman has been killed in an accident at a meat-processing site at Esperance, in Western Australia's southeast.

Worksafe inspectors are travelling to the site to investigate the circumstances of her death.

The woman was believed to have been working with machinery.

WorkSafe investigates all serious work-related injuries and deaths in WA, with a view to preventing similar incidents.

WorkSafe acting executive director Ian Munns has relayed his condolences to the woman's family.
