Injured Workers Abandoned by Workers Comp

The compensation laws in Canada are not exactly the same as the Accident Compensation Act in Victoria, but there are similarities. In our system ongoing weekly payments after 130 weeks are only paid if the worker is so badly injured that thery have no capacity to do anything at all, even theoretically, for the forseeable future. In Canada they call it 'deeming'. See what the workers think of it there.
