On Friday, 29 October 2019, The Commonwealth Government announced the establishment of a National Asbestos Management Review. The use of asbestos was banned in Australia in 2003, however, a majority of buildings in the country still contain asbestos. Hundreds of people still die every year from breathing in the fibres. Asbestos must be removed.
