Manual Handling

Manual handling includes lifing, pushing, pulling, reaching and carrying. This can result in musculoskeletal injuries and many serious conditions, including:

  • muscle sprains and strains
  • back injuries
  • soft-tissue injuries to the wrists, arms, shoulders, neck or legs
  • abdominal hernias
  • chronic pain
